Pachislot Kaguya-sama: Love Is War (パチスロ かぐや様は告らせたい) is SANKYO’s smart-pachislot AT machine introduced in Japan on September 2, 2024. Normal play mainly uses chance-pattern counts and game-count progression to reach Kokusasetai Challenge CZ, then aims to build output through high-net-increase pseudo bonuses and 1G chains. BIG, SUPER BIG, EXTRA BONUS and the Marriage pullback route form the main payout structure.

Kokusasetai Challenge success conditions
Kokusasetai Challenge success conditions
Administrator research. Kokusasetai Challenge is a 15G + α self-driven CZ with an overall success expectation of about 58%.
| Trigger during CZ | What it does |
|---|---|
| Small role / correct two-choice challenge | Creates the pseudo-play target sequence for the next game. |
| 7 symbol stops in the target sequence | Clears the CZ and awards a bonus. |
| One-shot notification | Also confirms the bonus route. |
| Strong chance pattern or double-clock 15-coin role | Bonus is confirmed without needing a later ordinary judgement. |
If neither a two-choice challenge nor a target cut-in occurs during the initial 15G, the 15G CZ is reset rather than ending immediately. The combined CZ frequency must not be confused with this approximately 58% clearing expectation.
Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:
The initial 15G reset rule requires that neither the two-choice challenge nor the target cut-in occurred during that period. It is not a reset after every failed target. Record whether an opportunity appeared before using that exception. The strong chance pattern / double-clock 15-coin role is a different direct-confirmation class that can clear without a later ordinary target result.
Game flow
Game flow
Normal play mainly advances through chance-pattern counts and scheduled game-count opportunities. Reaching the selected condition can enter Kokusasetai Challenge, the main CZ. A successful CZ or a direct conversion route awards a pseudo bonus.
Output is then built through high-net-increase bonuses and 1G chains. Stronger routes can award SUPER BIG or EXTRA BONUS, while the post-chain Marriage route can create a fast pullback into another strong bonus sequence.
Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:
One initial bonus can produce several chain bonuses
- Normal play reaches a CZ or direct bonus using game counts, chance-pattern counts and eligible role draws. Those are separate progression routes.
- Clear Kokusasetai Challenge (告らせたいチャレンジ) through its actual target sequence or direct-confirmation role. A created target opportunity still needs its successful result.
- Identify REG, BIG, SUPER BIG or EXTRA BONUS. Their reward length and follow-up behavior differ even though their payout speed is approximately 9 coins/G.
- Each eligible BIG game can draw a 1G-chain stock. Finish the bonus and its announcement / result transition before deciding whether a stock was won.
- The post-chain Marriage (マリアージュ) route can create a quick comeback; it is different from an already-stored 1G bonus.
Ceiling, reset and quit timing
Ceiling, reset and quit timing
Administrator research. The normal game-count ceiling is about 1100G + α and guarantees BIG or better. After REG it shortens to about 900G + α, and after a true setting change it shortens to about 800G + α. A separate CZ-failure ceiling applies after seven consecutive unsuccessful CZs between bonuses: the next CZ is converted to BIG or better. After a true setting change, the reported failure ceiling shortens to four failures (the fifth CZ converts). Count unsuccessful CZs separately from the 1100G/900G/800G game counter.
After a bonus chain, check the pullback state and the first 32G before quitting when Marriage-mode information is present. Ordinary power cycling carries over the underlying counters; a true setting change resets and reselects the relevant internal values.
Bonus and 1G-chain details
Bonus and 1G-chain details
Administrator research: REG uses seven bell-navigation awards, BIG lasts 30G, SUPER BIG lasts 54G and EXTRA BONUS lasts 100G or more; the pseudo bonuses run at approximately 9.0 coins/G.
BIG BONUS (ビッグボーナス) 1G-chain draw: SANKYO states that every role, including push-order bells (押し順ベル), is eligible for a 1G-chain bonus-stock draw on each BIG game. The stock is not predetermined at BIG entry. The manufacturer does not provide a per-role stock percentage in the cited explanation; no single probability should be inferred from the 30G duration or the overall chain rate.
For an on-screen clue to which role won a stock, Pes Mode (ペスモード) can be selected by highlighting Chika Chika (チカ千花) at BIG mode selection and holding PUSH while starting the mode with the lever. A Pes (ペス) animation points to the game that may have won the 1G-chain stock. If a stock is won in the last two BIG games, the announcement can instead occur on the result screen or following lever; the absence of an immediate character animation is not proof of failure.
Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:
| Bonus | Length / reward counter | Practical reading |
|---|---|---|
| REG (レギュラー) | Seven bell-navigation awards | Count navigation awards, not seven arbitrary games |
| BIG (ビッグ) | 30G | Every role eligible for the 1G-stock draw |
| SUPER BIG (スーパービッグ) | 54G | Longer premium bonus |
| EXTRA BONUS (エクストラボーナス) | 100G or more | Premium longer route |
A bonus won by 1G stock is another payout portion within the same initial chain. Keep the ordinary-play initial bonus count separate from subsequent chain bonuses. A long chain can greatly improve session coins without increasing the number of independent normal-play first hits.
Setting differences and identification
Setting differences and identification
Bonus initial-hit probability improves from 1/362 at Setting 1 to 1/335 at Setting 6. Current analysis also reports setting-sensitive CZ/count behavior and multiple direct setting-hint presentations. Because the raw initial-hit spread is modest, direct confirmation patterns and repeated state/CZ behavior should be weighted more heavily than a small number of bonus hits.
Chance-pattern internal modes
Chance-pattern internal modes
Administrator research. The manufacturer confirms four normal-play modes, A through D. The higher the mode, the fewer chance-pattern occurrences are generally needed before the CZ table becomes favorable; Mode D is especially strong and is expected to reach CZ within five chance patterns.
| Mode | Relative behavior |
|---|---|
| Mode A | Base chance-pattern count table |
| Mode B | Improved table |
| Mode C | Further improved table |
| Mode D | CZ expected within five chance patterns |
The mode is mainly reselected after BONUS and CZ. Except when leaving Mode D, the machine generally does not step down before a BIG Bonus; repeated CZ failures or REG outcomes can therefore leave the machine in a progressively stronger mode. This is separate from the visible morning/day/evening/night stage system.
Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:
Mode progression uses chance-pattern occurrences. A current D-mode expectation within five chance patterns is therefore not a five-real-game ceiling. Bonus / CZ outcomes redraw the mode, and the published persistence law distinguishes leaving D from other modes. A day/night visible stage is supporting presentation rather than a replacement for the complete mode rule.
Setting hints and confirmed-setting elements

Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:
| Specific bonus-ending frame / display | Published interpretation |
|---|---|
| Red frame | High-setting tendency |
| Purple frame | Setting 2+ |
| Silver frame | Setting 4+ |
| Gold frame | Setting 6 |
| 246 coins OVER | Even settings (2, 4 or 6) |
| 456 coins OVER | Setting 4+ |
| 666 coins OVER | Setting 6 |
The 246 display indicates an even setting (2, 4 or 6). The 456 display indicates Setting 4 or higher, while 666 indicates Setting 6. These meanings apply to the specified bonus coin-count display; do not transfer them to an unrelated illustration. A gold background behind a comeback illustration is also different from the gold setting frame.
The Shirogane / Kaguya comeback picture expects a 1G chain or comeback; only when that reward is actually denied does its published Setting 4+ alternative apply. Observe the full follow-up result before claiming that alternative.
How to play
How to play
No navigation: stop the left reel first. If numbered stop instructions appear, press the stop buttons in the displayed order (1, then 2, then 3). A symbol-target instruction tells you which symbol to aim for; follow it together with any displayed stop order.
This machine recommends left-first play. With the left reel stopped first, all reels may be stopped freely during ordinary normal play. Follow every push-order navigation prompt; during bonus play, follow navigation and any on-screen symbol instruction. A push-order mistake can reduce the intended result.
