Smart Pachislot Monkey Turn V (スマスロモンキーターンⅤ) is YAMASA’s smart-pachislot Monkey Turn machine introduced in Japan on December 4, 2023. Normal play builds Gekisou points toward cycle-based Yushutsu Mode, with Choubatsu Challenge providing a direct CZ route to the main SG RUSH AT. The upper Aoshima SG raises net increase and uses a high-continuation race structure.

Administrator research. Choubatsu Challenge is a 10G self-driven CZ with an overall success expectation of about 50%.

Boat / weak cherry33.6%
Weak chance pattern50.0%
Strong cherry / strong chance pattern100%

The clearing mechanism is a direct AT draw each time a qualifying role is pulled; there is no separate final symbol-alignment requirement. In addition, if Pera/rare roles occur nine times within the same Choubatsu Challenge, the CZ is forcibly cleared. Success awards SG RUSH AT.

Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:

The nine-qualifying-occurrence rescue rule counts Pera / rare-role results inside one Choubatsu Challenge. It does not mean the ninth failed CZ or ninth point cycle guarantees AT. The published 9.4%, 33.6%, 50.0% and 100% role draws already include their own conditional success strength; avoid treating the overall 50% CZ expectation as another independent draw to add on top.

Game flow

Normal play accumulates Gekisou points every game. Reaching a scheduled three-digit point target sends the machine into Yushutsu Mode, where a successful race starts SG RUSH. Rare roles can also lead to Gekisou Charge for accelerated point gain or to Choubatsu Challenge, a 10G self-contained CZ with an overall success expectation around 50%.

SG RUSH is a scenario-managed set AT. Each set combines a lap section, where rare roles can add games or start Buchigiri Battle, with an SG race that determines continuation. Completing the Grand Slam route or winning the dedicated Aoshima-vs-Hatano route can lead to the upper Aoshima SG.

Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:

Use the right counter at each step

  1. Normal play fills Gekisou Points (激走ポイント) toward Yushutsu Mode (優出モード). Gekisou Charge (激走チャージ) accelerates points; it is different from Choubatsu Challenge (超抜チャレンジ), which directly draws AT success.
  2. A won normal route starts SG RUSH (SGラッシュ). The 31G + α lap part provides reward opportunities, followed by the 9G SG race that resolves continuation.
  3. Read the selected scenario together with the current round. A favourable round does not mean that every later round uses the same continuation chance.
  4. Eight completed sets make Grand Slam. The Aoshima versus Hatano (青島VS波多野) gateway must still be won for Aoshima SG (青島SG); Grand Slam alone is not proof of upper-AT entry.
Ceiling, reset and quit timing

Ceiling, reset and quit timing

Administrator research. The normal AT ceiling is 795G + α or the sixth cycle. After a setting change, both are shortened to 495G + α / the fourth cycle. Power cycling without a setting change carries over the underlying game count and internal state even though the visible counter can reset.

AT-end and reset states can retain meaningful cycle/mode value. The first game after a setting change or AT end also has special mode behavior when a rare role is drawn, so immediate quitting should account for the post-AT helmet/mode information rather than using a fixed universal stop point.

SG RUSH and Aoshima SG

SG RUSH and Aoshima SG

SG RUSH is a 40G+α scenario-managed AT with approximately 2.5 coins/G net increase. Fourteen continuation scenarios govern the race sets. During the lap part, rare roles can add games and trigger Buchigiri Battle; winning can award games or other benefits.

Aoshima SG is the upper AT with approximately 4.0 coins/G net increase and an approximately 83% continuation expectation including V-stock effects. Each set ends with Aoshima versus Hatano; continuation persists while Aoshima wins.

Reading one SG Rush set

Administrator research. A set contains a 31G + α lap part followed by a 9G SG race that judges continuation. The selected scenario changes the continuation chance from set to set. A single V alignment strongly indicates continuation; a double V strongly indicates continuation plus 100–300 added games.

Eight completed sets make a Grand Slam, leading to the Aoshima VS Hatano gateway. Winning that gateway enters Aoshima SG. Its approximately 83% continuation figure includes V stocks; the figure excluding them is approximately 75%.

Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:

Cue / progressionPublished implication
Single V alignmentContinuation
Double V alignmentContinuation plus 100–300 added games
Eight completed setsGrand Slam; opens Aoshima versus Hatano gateway
Aoshima SG continuation referenceApprox. 83% including V stock; approx. 75% without it

V stock and game additions are separate rewards. A double V adds both a future continuation and a game allowance; do not count the added games as additional race wins. The Aoshima continuation figures explicitly use different inclusion assumptions, which explains why they should not be compared as conflicting measurements.

Setting differences and identification

Setting differences and identification

AT initial hits improve materially toward higher settings. More discriminating supporting elements include direct AT hits from weak rare roles and the entry rates for setting-sensitive rival modes such as Enoki, Gamou and Hamaoka. Current research also provides multiple end-screen, medal/trophy and sub-display setting hints; direct confirmation patterns should be weighted above ordinary frequency observations.

Administrator research. Strong rare roles (strong cherry or strong chance pattern) have a setting-dependent direct-AT draw that can be treated as a conditional trigger sample.

SettingStrong rare role → direct AT

21.2%
42.0%
53.9%
66.3%

Boat/weak-cherry and weak-chance-pattern direct AT routes are not included in the statistical table because Settings 1 and 2 have no corresponding hit in the checked table. The current range renderer uses Setting 1 as a non-zero comparison baseline and must not manufacture a relative ratio from a zero baseline.

Statistical setting ranges

Japanese Slot Guide calculation. The expected counts and central 95% count ranges below are calculated from the listed setting probabilities with a binomial model. They describe ordinary statistical variation under that probability; they are not confidence percentages for the actual setting.

Strong rare role → direct AT

Administrator-research conditional direct-AT draw. Count one strong cherry or strong chance pattern as one eligible trigger observation; do not count AT obtained through Yushutsu Mode, Choubatsu Challenge, ceilings or other routes.

How to read this: overlapping ranges are expected. A result inside one setting’s range can also be plausible under another setting. Do not use these ranges as a setting confirmation or as a promise of future results.

Cycle modes and Rival Mode

Cycle modes and Rival Mode

Administrator research. Monkey Turn V has two different normal-play mode layers. A three-mode cycle table controls the maximum cycle to SG RUSH, while Rival Mode changes specific normal-play or AT-entry advantages.

Cycle modeMaximum cycle
Normal A6 cycles
Normal B3 cycles
Heaven1 cycle
Rival ModeMain advantage
HatanoBase mode
EnokiYushutsu Mode success expectation improved
DoguchiSG scenario improved
GamoChoubatsu Challenge entry improved
HamaokaRequired Gekisou points improved
AoshimaAoshima SG start
Monochrome HatanoPremium SG scenario indicated

Cycle mode is normally selected around AT/reset transitions. Rival Mode is indicated by helmet presentation on the sub-display and should be read as a separate overlay, not as another cycle ceiling.

Administrator research. Additional play and result interpretation:

At the AT-ending transition and first game after a setting change, the published rare-role mode law sends boat, weak cherry or weak chance pattern to Normal B or higher, and strong cherry / strong chance pattern to Heaven. That law depends on the transition game. It should not be applied to every rare role during arbitrary normal play.

The black SG medal is a strong hint rather than a confirmed setting floor. A trophy is a different item with its own published floor. Rival-mode helmet colours and race-round illustrations are also separate from this ending-item table.

How to play

How to play

No navigation: stop the left reel first. If numbered stop instructions appear, press the stop buttons in the displayed order (1, then 2, then 3). A symbol-target instruction tells you which symbol to aim for; follow it together with any displayed stop order.

This is a left-first recommended machine. During normal play, aim BAR or the pink V around the left reel. If a boat stops, use BAR as the guide on the middle reel to cover the boat; the right reel can then be stopped freely. Follow all push-order navigation during AT and instructed states.
